Eclipse Lacrosse, a renowned youth and high school club lacrosse program, has been making waves in the lacrosse community since its inception in 2013. Originating in Connecticut, the program quickly gained recognition for its player development and has now extended its reach to the sun-soaked shores of South Florida. With a new location in Boca Raton, Eclipse Lacrosse Florida is set to revolutionize the sport in the region. Let's dive into the exciting journey of this powerhouse program as it gears up to grow the sport of lacrosse in the Sunshine State.


Eclipse Lacrosse Florida boasts an impressive legacy of excellence, producing numerous college commitments, high school All-Americans, and college All-Americans. With over 206 college commitments to 72 different colleges, Eclipse has proven itself as a breeding ground for lacrosse talent. Countless alumni have gone on to shine in multiple divisions of college lacrosse and even reached the pinnacle of professional lacrosse.


Meet the South Florida Coaching Team

Leading the charge is Program Director Jamie Hanford, a legend in the sport of lacrosse. As a 3x All-American at Loyola College and a 13-year indoor/outdoor All-Pro Professional Lacrosse player, Jamie's expertise is unmatched. He played a vital role in NLL Championship wins for the Philadelphia Wings and the Colorado Mammoth, as well as an MLL Championship win with the Baltimore Bayhawks. His accolades extend to his high school years, where he was a 3x All FCIAC player, 2x All-State, and the CT Player of the year in 1994. Jamie has also been coaching in lacrosse for nearly two decades. Jamie was the Defensive Coordinator for the MLL Atlanta Blaze, and is currently the Defensive Coordinator for the PLL Chaos. Along with his professional coaching career Jamie has also been with Eclipse since its creation and is the Assistant Coach of St. Edwards in Vero Beach, FL. 


Bringing the best in lacrosse coaching to South Florida, Eclipse Lacrosse Florida has assembled a dynamic coaching staff to teach the next generation of lacrosse stars. Evan Kalish, a Vero Beach, Fl native will be the defensive coach. Evan is a former D1 player at Bellarmine University and a former D2 player at Lynn University. His extensive playing experience and coaching prowess make him a valuable asset to the program.


Nicholas Zukauskas, from Southington, CT will be the offensive coach. Nicholas played D2 lacrosse at Lynn University. His in-depth knowledge of offensive strategies and techniques will help the players unleash their offensive potential and development on the field.


South Florida Tryouts - Date and Location

Join the Eclipse Lacrosse Florida family at the South Florida tryouts, which will be held at St. Andrews School in Boca Raton, Florida on August 1st, from 6:00-8:00 pm. Players from various skill levels are encouraged to participate, as the focus is on passion, determination, and a willingness to learn. The tryout is open to all 2025, 2026, and 2027 players. Mean Green score two late touchdowns in final minutes to rally past the Owls, improving to 5-1 on the season North Texas mounted a thrilling late-game comeback to defeat Florida Atlantic 41-37 in Boca Raton, securing their second American Athletic Conference victory of the season. Quarterback Chandler Morris led the charge, throwing four touchdown passes, including two critical strikes to DT Sheffield in the final minutes, sealing the win for the Mean Green. Trailing 37-27 with just under three minutes left, Morris engineered an impressive eight-play, 75-yard drive, capping it off with an 8-yard touchdown pass to Sheffield. With the clock winding down and only 1:43 remaining, North Texas' defense made a stand, forcing a punt and giving Morris another chance to work his magic. The offense quickly moved down the field in five plays, with a crucial 34-yard run by Shane Porter setting up a first-and-goal at the FAU 5-yard line. Morris then connected with Sheffield for a 3-yard touchdown, putting North Texas ahead for good.

CJ Campbell Jr. Shines as Owls Secure Second Win of the Season Florida Atlantic University (FAU) delivered a commanding performance Saturday night, overpowering Wagner College with a decisive 41-10 victory. The Owls, now 2-3 on the season, demonstrated early dominance when CJ Campbell Jr. capped a 75-yard opening drive with a 4-yard touchdown run just 32 seconds into the game. This opening statement set the tone for the evening, as Campbell went on to rush for another touchdown, amassing 145 yards on the ground with an impressive 9.7 yards per carry. In the post-game press conference, Campbell attributed his recent success to patience and hard work while acknowledging that the Owls still haven't reached their full potential. "We have yet to play a complete game," Campbell remarked, hinting at the team's room for growth. He also highlighted the competitive yet complementary dynamic between him and second-string running back Zuberi Mobley. Mobley, who averaged 7.0 yards per carry on 11 attempts, added his own touchdown late in the first half, further solidifying FAU's rushing attack.
